The Netherlands Institute for Metals Research changed name.
On the 14th of February 2008 we celebrated the start of the new innovation program M2i together with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and all the industry and knowledge partners supporting M2i. During this launch event it was also announced that NIMR has changed its name into Materials innovation institute (M2i). The name M2i is used for the innovation program as well as for our organization to emphasize that we want to fully identify ourselves with this new program.

All current NIMR contracts and obligations remain legally in force despite the new name M2i. In that respect nothing will change and we are looking forward to continuing our relationship as we did in the past but now as M2i organization.
